??Room???
If you walk in his room the first thing that attracts you is a huge painted art work. It’s sitting on a wall facing the main door. The room got huge French windows with some small colorful dots on it. After a while you see all these racks, where some art is not finished yet lying on the floor. His windows sills are covered with huge, empty bottles of jam conserves. On one side of the window sill, long and thick paintbrushes are sticking out of one of the bottles. The other side of the window has a bottle with short and thin paintbrushes in. The paintbrushes are arranged perfectly, what we can’t say about his art works, lying everywhere. Instead of a carpet he has a huge, wooden and colored floor. The colors of the floor are very bright as the sunshine enters the room through the huge French windows. His bed is covered with a plastic foil and has some magazines together with red color that was spilled on it. Is it a painter? But where are all the cans with the color? We don’t see any cans of color in his room but there is another door. The door is painted with yellow and blue stripes which reminds you of a sun in the sky. You walk towards the door; you see lots of red colored dots on the door as someone was spilling a red color all over the room. Then you grab the handle you slowly pull it down. Then push the door forward but as you can see the door is locked.

Page 41 - 73 Hamlet

Its strats when Hamlet sees the ghost. Hamlet talks to him and the ghost says how Hamlet's uncle killed the old king. Hamlet can hardly believe and doesnt even want to believe it. Then the ghost disappears and Hamlet meets Horatio. Horatio wants to know what the ghost told Hamlet. Hamlet tells him but Horatio and his friends have to swear several times that they wont tell anyone the secret. Then there is a scene with Polonius and his friend Reynaldo. Polonius is asking Reynaldo if he could go and check up on his son who lives in France. Then there is a scene with Polonius, the king and the queen. Polonius explains Hamlet's maddness by saying that he fell in love with his daughter, Ophelia. The queen is against that and disagrees. Then she says "The reason why Hamlet is mad is because of his father's death and because I married the new king!"

Hamlet
Today we read few pages from Hamlet, which for me was a bit difficult because I didnt read the first ones. So i read the whole thing again. So far I understood that Horatio and other friends of Hamlet saw the king's spirit. When they tell Hamlet, he doesnt believe them but still wants to find out the truth. Of course when Oratio and his friend see it they cant believe it and are amazed. Then Oratio is also there and someone tells her that she shouldnt show any emotion while she is with Hamlet. This is so far what I understood, its not much but its pretty hard to understand..

Hamlet
Hamlet
During English class we started to watch Hamlet. The starting showed a coffin with Hamlet’s father in. Hamlet’s mother was in a really big emotion, she couldn’t believe that her husband is dead. There was also Hamlet’s uncle which didn’t really care about his brother’s death because he knew he is going to the throne afterwards. After few weeks Hamlet’s mother marries Hamlet’s uncle who becomes the new king. Hamlet’s mom is now happy and telling Hamlet that life has to go on. He still doesn’t like it because his uncle took the throne. The uncle makes Hamlet’s mother to do everything he tells her but she doesn’t recognizes that. The uncle uses her to get closer to Hamlet and get Hamlet to believe and follow his uncle as well. Hamlet wants to leave the palace in Denmark but then his mom persuades him to stay. The movie is a bit harder to understand but you get most of the content by just watching it.

My finished essay

War was the third LP released by U2. It came out in March 1983, and it showed them as a mainstream band when it entered the British music chart at number one. The album discusses the signs of spiritual and religious influences on “War.” “The ability to use a range of powerful images, taking a song initially about sectarian anger, and turn it into a call for Christians to unite and claim victory over death and evil.” This message is shown by three main points: the songs and their lyrics, the cover, and the music and its sounds.
The lyrics in this album are very interesting because all of them show different influences on war. The album contains 10 songs which contain anger, passion and despair. The starting of this album has a strong song called "Sunday bloody Sunday." It’s about the conflicts in Northern Ireland, 1972. The song “seconds” is based on young boys leaving home to the war and about the rise and fall of revolutions. The song goes, “It takes a second to say goodbye, say goodbye.” The fourth song of this album is a bit of departure from the other tracks in War, as it is quiet, atmospheric song. It talks about someone who is rescuing other person from his life problems. The third and the fifth songs of this album talk about the end of the war and how everyone is excited that it’s over. The last song ‘40’ was used for several years as the closing song of all U2 concerts. The words “How long to this song” were each night sung by the fans while they were leaving the show.
The cover of this album symbolized how the band had moved on. It shows an aggressive picture of Peter Rowan, the same child shown on their first album called “Boy,” only now he is older. It describes how the boy is no longer innocent as he was before. The same producers of this album used Peter Rowan in another U2 album called “The best of 1980 – 1990” and created the similar emotional intensity that comes from the child’s expression. The back cover shows the total opposite of war. The producers used colored paper; the symbolism of this is more peaceful than anger and despair.
The feeling of this LP was totally different from the two albums that had gone before. They used raw guitars, pulsating drums and bass from Adam. All of them were combined together which gives us the idea that we can hear this in all the songs of this LP. The sound of most of the songs could be described as the sadness of war and disaster. In the songs “Red light” and “Surrender” they used a guest who played the back vocals. This was the first time when U2 used a guest on their records.
The music discusses the signs of spiritual and religious influences on "war". They used passion and despair in their lyrics and music sounds. The album "War" is one of the best albums that came out around the year 1980. They even achieved the first place on British music charts. By now U2 has around 25 albums and "war" could be still placed in the first three albums.

U2 - "War"

We were writing an essay about our favourite album and I finishe today. It talks about our impression of the album and the songs' lyrics. It was an interesting essay to write!! My favourite song on the album is "Sunday Bloody Sunday." And I learned that you have to put a period before the quotes not after :-))

War

An actual interesting fact that people in the world are talking about the most is that Libanon ended war with Izrael. I think it's interesting that all people in the world are intrested and know about it, even it's not their own country. Now days OSN is trying to find lots of soldier forces, which will go there and help. The soldiers should devide Libanon from Izrael which would make peace between them. I hope this will be a succesfull operation and everything will go well.

Advertising
We are doing an essay about advertising and I think it's very interesting because you get to think really deeply about the advert. Each picture has a different message in it and to get the message you need to actutually think about it!!! Most people get convinced because of these advertisments and we learn how it's easy to get conviced. People can just see a picture which is decribing and showing the product and they go all crazy about it!
